After 15 days and 1058 miles we finally landed at John O
Groats on Saturday 24th September. Our mission a successful
one, although not without problems, in fact at one point we
thought the whole project was over after suffering a major
setback 13 days in to the ride. However, grit, determination
and the uncompromising help from two French tourists made
sure we completed our journey. The numbers, for those of you
that are thinking about attempting this ride are - 1058
miles, 70,000 feet (around 11.5 miles straight up)
accumulative climb at an average speed of 10.5 mph fully
laden, approx 71 miles a day on average. Thank you for all
your support it has been greatly appreciated.
